Because an engineer would see that this is a problem.

Unless the current code is unsafe there is no problem, just an oddity.


You can't just single out one AWG size and not include any of the rest.

They can and they did.


It either has to be the smaller sizes or the larger sizes.

Where can I find this requirement?

I would need more information about this test and how they came to writing this NEC rule.

Go to the NFPA website and down load the ROPs and ROCs they are available online for the 2002, 2005, 2008 and 2011 NECs
