Can someone help me please.
nec 312.8.. you should not used enclosures/panelboards as junction boxes or raceways for conductors feeding trough or tapping off ...Unless adequate space for this purpose is provided.
The conductors shall not fill the wiring space at any cross section to more than 40 % of the cross-sectional area of the space,
and the conductors, splices, and taps shall not fill the wiring space at any cross section to more than 75% of the cross-sectional area of that space.

Do you deduct the space taken by existing swithes/ovecurrent devices and than take 40/75%?
Or you calculate the whole enclosure/panelboard including everything?

I wouldn't even do the math. There is no physical wayyou could fill a panel to 75%. Think of 40% conduit fill, and how crowded that is...now fill it to twice that volume :D

I agree with Ryan.

Even a modest gutter space of 3" x 2" with a reduction to 40% could have over 400 - 12 AWGs
