I have a question regarding NEC 392.80(B)(1) - Ampacity of Multicoonductor Cables 2001 Volts or Over in Cable Tray. This section states the following:
Allowable ampacity of multiconductor cables shall be as given in Table 310.60(75) & Table 310.60(76) subject to the following provisions:
(a) covered trays 95% of Table 310.60(75) & Table 310.60(76).
(b) multiconductor cables are installed in a single layer in uncovered cable trays, with maintained spacing not less than one cable diameter use Table 310.60(C)(71) and Table 310.60(C)(72).
Can multi conductor cables 2001 Volts or over be installed in cable tray in a single layer with no spacing using ampacities listed in Table 310.60(75) & Table 310.60(76) or is spacing required for multiconductor cables 2001 Volts or over?
Thanks,
-Ed M.
