Nec 410 73g Disconnecting Means

Does a metal halide light fixture wet location listed, installed in an open
parking garage, wired with a multiwire branch circuit require a disconnecting
means per article 410-73G.

NOTE. Light fixture manufacturer does not provide the disconnecting means
because of wet location listing.

Is an open parking garage considered outdoors?

NEC 410-73G describes indoor locations.

Since this is fed by a multiwire circuit and has a ballast it would seem that 410.73(G) would apply the way it is worded, IF a parking garage is considered an indoor location.Since "indoor Location" is not defined by the NEC it will be up to the AHJ to determine if this is indoor or outdoor. If it is an underground garage I would lean toward indoor. An open above-ground garage, I am not so sure.... Probably be easier to install the simple little IDEAL or other company disconnecting means and be done with it. The electrician that eventually has to replace the ballast will thank you.
