NEC 430.24 or NEC 215.2(A)(1)

Hello all,
I am designing a piece of equipment with multiple motors and other loads. How do I know whether to follow NEC 430.24 or NEC 215.2(A)(1) when it comes to sizing my feeders?

If the two sections give you different minimum size conductors, the higher answer controls.

Now if you are using Article 220 Part III for your load calculations, the two sections give you the same answer. Because 220.50 refers you to 430.24.
