A very large fountain has been classified as an "artificially made body of water" by the AHJ. Per NEC 682.31(A), the minimum equipment grounding conductor size is #12. Why is this requirement not also included in Fountains 680.50?
680.55(A) states the provisions of 680.21(A) shall apply to fountains.
680.21(A)(1) States that branch circuits for pool associated motors shall be provided with an insulated copper equipment grounding conductor sized in accordance with 250.122 but not smaller than #12 AWG.
