Is feeding an emergency lighting fixture, located at the exterior exit door, from life safety branch circuit meets the requirement of article 700.17 or two branch circuits need to be provided up to the fixture?
Thanks

Two circuits are only needed if you cannot comply with 700.17(1). If you have a life safety branch in your building then you are certainly capable of complying.

You may need at least (2) lamps for the fixture

I feel like I have seen this requirement before, but cannot find it now. Anyone help?

"Fluorescent exit signs are required to have two lamps by code, in case one fails."
