I'm drawing a comparison here between Emergency and Legally Required Standby systems. The above NEC section states:
For branch circuits that supply equipment classed as emergency, there shall be an emergency supply source to which the load will be transferred automatically upon the failure of the normal supply.
I was wondering why isn't there a similar requirement in NEC 701 for legally required systems. Is there any particular reason for this?
