The above NEC section state's the following:
Optional standby system equipment shall be suitable for the maximum available short-circuit current at it's terminals.
When the rule speaks of suitability does it mean the ability to withstand the short-circuit current or the equipment has the ability to interrupt the circuit during a short-circuit condition? Perhaps both?
