With regards to NEC 706.7(E) & 706.21(F), how are the ESS Input and Output Terminals and Connected Equipment defined (what are they/where are they) for each of the following types of Energy Storage Systems as defined in NEC 706.2?


ESS, Self-Contained
ESS, Pre-Engineered
ESS, Other


For simplicity purposes, let's assume a single 1,000Vdc Li-On Battery Rack connected to an Inverter (PCS) that is grid-connected.
