The above NEC section state's the following:
Listed plenum optical fiber raceways are permitted to be installed in ducts and plenums as described in 300.22(B).
But this apparently is not permitted in the case of remote control/signaling circuits. Is there any reason for this other than the fact that optical fiber doesn't actually carry electric current but light pulses instead?
