There are no requirements from client or architect to design the server room (IT room) according to applicable codes (NFPA-75, NEC-645).
It’s high rise building. Server room has 9 racks for various purposes (video, audio, communication), 100KVA UPS with batteries, dedicated AC system, sprinklers, smoke detectors connected to bases building system.
EATON UPS cabinet has all possible power disconnect switches and bypass switches, all built-in. battery cabinet also has built-in disconnect switches.
I didn’t find NEC requirements to provide any remote shut down for batteries or UPS. Is there any place in other code (Fire code, IBC) to provide remote shut down (mushroom button)?
