Hello to all- Regarding Generac's pre-packaged air cooled generators

A few years ago, Generac's sub-panels only had a #4 or #6 AWG neutral wire between the main panel and the sub-panel. No individual circuit neutrals went from the sub-panel to the main panel. Now, all Generac pre-packaged air cooled generators have a neutral for each circuit. Can anyone tell me what NEC article made them change that?

perhaps it was influenced by this new 2011 code

200.4 Neutral Conductors. Neutral conductors shall not
be used for more than one branch circuit, for more than one
multiwire branch circuit, or for more than one set of ungrounded
feeder conductors unless specifically permitted
elsewhere in this Code.

I installed a generac in 08 and it had seperate nutrals.
