I am in Sales, but have been tasked to oversee projects that require the installation of Lighting System Voltage Regulators. I have found that there is limited space in some electric closets. A contractor would like to install the equipment (20x24x9 enclosure w/electronics board) over an existing transformer and behind a door in another location.

I am sure that these are code violations, but I do not have a NEC book. Could someone tell me what section of the NEC covers the installation above transformers and behind doors? How can I access this information on-line?
