Question: In the 2023 NEC Chapter 9 Table 5 Page 70-723 under type RHH wire it lists 4/0 approximate area at 306.7 mm2 on the next page 70-724 lists RHH* type wire 4/0 approximate area 239.9 mm2. At the end of table 5 it identifies the "* " note RHH* and RHW* without outer covering.
What's the difference in the table and what would be the correct table to use to size Sweetbriar URD cable?
I'm trying to size the conduit needed for feeder with 4/0,4/0,2/0, URD with a #4 EGC. There is currently a 2" PVC conduit and I need to verify it that sufficient or if it needs to be changed..

Not a direct answer to your question but it's worth noting "Sweetbriar URD" is not a recognized NEC conductor and not suitable for a NEC installation (it;s a Utility UG feeder). Does the cable have any other identifying marking ??

It's the AL Triplex URD cable sold at Lowes and Home depot, It has USE-2, RHH, RHW-2 and XLP markings on it, I would like to use it to replace the existing URD between a pole mounted service and an existing home panel.
My job is to replace the house panel I planned on reconnecting the existing 3 wire feeder cable assuming it was 200 amp rated because main breaker sizes but after take a closer look I noticed it was 1/0 URD Alum NEC Table 310.12 (A) lists 1/0 Alum at 125A.
The site has a utility pole with a meter, Main breaker 200A feed through load center the feed through lugs has 1/0 alum URD connected to the feed underground into a house about 125' away the 1/0 Alum terminates into a 200A main breaker, I'm sure it undersized cable and needs to be replace, With the code changes it has to be 4 wire vs. 3 wire, I verified with our building department and I'm tying to confirm if the exiting 2" PVC going below the cement floor is large enough to accommodate 4/0,4/0,2/0,/#4. In our area in Colorado it common for the 4/0,4/0,2/0 to be in 2" PVC.
If I use 20203 NEC chapter 9 table 5 on page 70-723 it's too full, If I use the table on page 70-724 it fits.

Is this 2" being used as a raceway or just a sleeve? A sleeve doesn't need to comply with raceway fill rules.

The 2" go's from the bottom of the panel mounted in a basement wall run below the concrete floor for a clear path for the cables to exit the house.
