Hi, i'm just new here on this forum and right now ai am engaged in designing healthcare facilities such as clinics, hospitals etc i just want if it was ok to connect my low current earthing rod burried on ground to my MDB earthing rod (also burried under ground 6 meters apart )? or i should not do this? is there any nec regulation abiding what am i supposed to do? or i should make the lightning, low current and MDB EARTHING PIT seperately and no attached connection at all in each pit?

I'm not sure what a MDB ground is, but generally, the NEC requires low voltage grounds (say a telephone or cable TV service ground) to be interconnected with the electrical service ground.

And if you have a separately derived system (like a step down transformer), that ground must be connected to the main service ground.

because i was used to work in dubai and in dubai they totally seperate the earthing pit of Telecommunication from other earthing pit without connection and here in KSA i just noticed that alll the earthing pit were interconnected on each others including lightning and low current so i was confused a little bit if im going to seperate the tel;ecommunication earthing pit or not but i dont see concrete reasons also to do it so before i raise this topic to my consultant i would like to know if this pattern (all earthing pit interlinked on each other e.g. low current, lightning and low voltage) deviates any nec rules or not.
