NEC codes for fittings

Is there a code that governs on how a fitting can be removed. In theory if a fitting could snap in and snap out easily without having to undo a lock nut or tearing apart a ring would that meet code? What if you squeezed it to install and could squeeze it to remove. Is there anything in the code book not allowing this?

It would be a UL listing issue. The NEC wouldn't specifically address how fittings are designed and deployed.
