I am having a hard time following Example D1(a) in annex D of the 2002 NEC.

The feeder sizing makes perfect sense, but when we get to the nuetral sizing there seems to be a demand factor applied to lighting and small appliance load. Is this allowed?

Also, what happened to the laundry circuit for the neutral load?

Please halp me, I feel as though I am missing something obvious

Looks like laundry was rolled into the 5100VA at 35% even though its not mentioned explicitly down by the feeder/neutral calc.

Have you considered 220.22 Feeder or Service Neutral Load?

Look for the 70%
