I was wondering a few things about NEC history. Can anyone answer these?
1) In what year did the NEC first require that all new homes have two 20-amp small-appliance circuits in the kitchen?
2) In what year did they first require all cable to contain a ground wire? (My grandmother used to live in a house built in 1958 where most of the wire did not contain a ground.)
3) Many homes built in the late 50's-early 60's were wired using cable with ground, but they still installed 2-prong receptacles and just grounded the boxes. In what year did they actually require that 3-prong receptacles be used?
Thanks!
