I am trying to find out how the NEC calculates what the full load amps are for motors (Table 430.150). Not sure if they are using different power factors and efficiencies for different size motors, but seems like it.
Does anybody know how the full load amps are determined??

Thank You.

I read the other thread, however it did not answer how the NEC came up with those numbers. Reason I am asking is because I am modeling a system in a computer program and need to know what pf and efficiencies to use that would match the FLA given by NEC for the different types of motors used in the system.

The formula for the FLA = (hp * 746) / (1.73 * V * pf * efficiency)
The only variables that NEC could differ in using than the ones used in my computer program to calculate the FLA are the pf and efficiency because the other variables are constant, but nowhere in the NEC motors section does it say what values they use.
