NEC on CD

Is the NEC on compact disc a superior alternative to book form?

Depends on your personal needs.

I have both the NEC on CD and book form. I use the CD or now the PDF when I teach and the book when I go out on inspections.

By the way the 2011 NEC will not be offered in a CD format but just as a protected PDF.

CD is much better. Easier to search and print off if you need to .

If you have time to boot up a laptop and load the CD while on-site, you can. But a paper version is much better suited for field use.

Its my educated guess that the NFPA will come out with a version to use on a eBook reader. In September I took the survey to qualify for my free PDF version, and then I took the survey again for another version (different computer).The questions had changed and there were many relating to smart phones and ebook readers.

Thanks for all of the helpful replies. I am going to price the .pdf format and go from there.
