This's commercial building health care facility with standby emergency system, there're two buttons outside to shut off the Main Distribution Panel and the Generator respectively. Inside the building we've a 120/208V, 3 phase panel with 20A circuit,single pole breaker to shunt trip the MDP as well. I was looking at NEC the requirement but I couldn't find.
1. Is NEC requirement to shuntdown the MDP and Gen. from outside the building?
2. Is necessary to duplicate this function and shunt trip the MDP from another panel inside the building?
