Hi everyone
Finally I have a NEC book of my very own.Now can someone tell me some pointers and tips as to how I go about studying it. Thanx in advance.

Re: NEC study guide

Start off by studying and memorizing the arrangement of the NEC. Use 90.3 and the Table of Contents as your guide. Your next focus should be the rest of Artcile 90, 100, and 110. Know these articles inside-out as you will be back to them always.

Finally, start a highlighting and note taking session for each article Chapters 2 and on. The only way you will become comfortable and smooth with the code is by using it.

During the work day, write down some of materials and methods you use to comlete the job. When you get home, look up those sections to valdiate your work for the day. This will give you purpose for studying other than for the purpose of studying.

Attend code seminars and stay active with the Forum. Try to answer questions posted here and look everything up for yourself as we discuss them. This is also good practice.

Re: NEC study guide

I would use my code book and read this web site and follow along reading the code for my self. You should look at the Mike Holt books. They are real good. A lot easeyer to read. I don't know how it is were you are. But here the test is open book, better to know were it is, then trying to know the whole thing. Also now that you have the book you learn that even your boss dosen't know, or do every thing right.
