The above table has a location designated as "Sales, Storage, and Rest Rooms" for motor dispensing facilities. The extent of the classified location is stated as follows:
If there is any opening to these rooms within the extent of a Division 1 location, the entire room shall be classified as Division 1.
My question is this: How is it possible for a division 1 location in a gas station able to extend to a rest room? A division 2 yes because it has a 20 feet radius from the dispenser. I'm taking the online Electrical Plans Examiner course offered by the ICC and some of the practice questions are indeed troubling like this one.
