I am installing a dedicated branch circuit to a commercial dishwasher that is 120/208v will it work on a 120/240v system.

Check with the manufacturer. The higher voltage may void the warranty.

bennie it is used. I also is wondering what voltage receptacle and male cord cap would use.

240 volts will likely use it up. I still would contact the manufacturer. There may be a 240 volt heating element for that model.

Most manufacturers have repair facilities in major cities.

I agree with Bennie that you need to contact the manufacture or authorized service agent for this manufacture to find out if it ok to use this appliance on a 240 volt circuit. Besides shortening the life the increased voltage could create a fire hazard.
