Yes for a nipple 344.42(B)...did not change from the 05'

Running threads are permitted but you just can't use them at a coupling to make an "Erikson" style (3 piece rigid coupling) connection with a locknut. In the old days of black pipe they called that a depression coupling. A long running thread on one side and a locknut to tighten against the coupling.
