is the fire alarm panel or annunciator panel defined as 'equipment' in the NEC?

I need to know if the working space around equipment apply to fire alarm panels and annunciator panels?

Yes,it is equipment. Working space would be required if it is "likely to require....while energized". See 110.26(A).

I agree with Ryan, also take a look in Article 100 for the definition of equipment.

I can not think of any fire alarm panel that will not require servicing while energized.
