Need electric company "Oncor" to approve for commercial rate and a 400 or 550 amp

Good afternoon,

I've been searching all of google on this. But I need at least a 400 amp panel and commercial rate. I have an engineer coming out next week to look at the site. It is a current residence with a home based business. I have a 20 KWH computer I need built and I want it at my home or else I must lease a warehouse. I also have a great deal of equipment in need of power and wife wants a hot tub :/.

Our power is maxed. What can I do to persuade Oncor for more power? Im open to a new pole or upgraded panel. I hope they will pay some of the transition. Any tips would be appreciated :D

I am closing this thread, in accordance with the Forum rules. This Forum is intended to assist professional electricians, inspectors, engineers, and other members of the electrical industry in the performance of their job-related tasks. However, if you are not an electrician or an electrical contractor, then we are not permitted to help you perform your own electrical installation work.

Your situation is an edge case since you are asking about making a contract with POCO (POwer COmpany) rather than performing your own work, but I think that the best advice will come from a local electrician or contractor who has experience dealing with your local company and even your local engineering office. If any other moderator feels that this is an allowed question, they are free to change the thread status.

BTW, are you going to be mining crypto currency? If you argue with POCO that you need a commercial service will there be any problem with residential zoning for your lot?

If I have misjudged the situation, if for example this project is related to your work, then send me a Private Message. If you can show me that I am wrong, and that you are a licensed electrician (or at least a licensed apprentice), then I will reopen your post, and offer an apology for the delay and inconvenience.
