Need Grounding/bonding/shielding Help

GENTLEMEN:

Can anyone recommend an upcoming comprehensive training course/seminar
on the subject of grounding/bonding/shielding? Maybe 3 - 5 days in length.

I'm looking for everything from code compliance, through measuring earth
resistivity, bonding topology, SPD's , shielding, EMC ... etc

Thanks - will need it soon.

It would help if you gave us your location. Your profile page has a zip code of 00000, so more information would be needed. But just for one possibility, have you checked the home page of Mike Holt's web site? It has links to his training programs.

Thank-you

Thank-you

CHARLES:

My location is just outside Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

I'm looking for the 'cadillac' of grounding & bonding seminars
because I'm dealing with a multitude of related problems.

I'll need training that includes but goes far beyond, mere code compliance;
it ultimately has to help me solve 'mysterious' electronic failures, noise
issues, EMC issues, lightning etc etc etc ...

(might need more than one course, eh!)

Any recommendations would be appreciated and I will check out
Mike Holts website.

Thanks again

Another possible source is to contact a wire manufacturer such as ALPHA, BELDEN, STANDARD WIRE, etc. to find consulting firms that do technical seminars on cabling environment. rbj

Your needs exceed most seminars/classes offered today.
What it sounds like to me is you are in need of class(es), not a class. It takes years of training and many different classes to help you fulfill your needs as you have outlined.

What is the giant rush?

How did you figure out the issue has to do with the ground? Many things can cause 'mysterious' electronic failures. I would check with Fluke they make some of the best troubleshooting equipment made to test for all sorts of electrical issues. They might even send you to class if you buy enough equipment from them;) www.fluke.com I have found their website to be very helpful in the knowledge base area.

Good Luck.

Yes thats the company. I would also suggest taking the IAEI Soares grounding and Mikes Grounding vs Bonding, all a bit different in focus.
