Need help identifying this cable....

I have a cable, removed from a residential wall; which was feeding 2 receptacles in a wall. The cable itself caught fire from being improperly installed and then overloaded.


Please let me know if anyone recognizes this cable..........

Looks like old "cloth" covered NM/romex to me.

Looks like old "cloth" covered NM/romex to me.

I would say "yes" to that. It looks exactly like the stuff in my parents' house. Minus the charring, of course.

Looks like Anaconda brand NM cable from the 40's.

Lots of it around my area. Anaconda had a factory in Muskegon.
