In the 2014 NEC I understand that Chapters 1-4 apply generally to all electrical installations and that Chapter 5 modifies Chapters 1-4. My question concerns the requirement for GFCI and AFCI protection for Mobile and Manufactured homes.
Article 210.8 contains the requirements for GFCI protection. However, Article 550.13(B) identifies the requirements for GFCI installations in Mobile and Manufactured homes. I assume from this that only the GFCI installations identified in Article 550.13(B) are required for Mobile and Manufactured homes. Is this a correct assumption??
Article 210.12 identifies the requirements for AFCI protection in homes. However, it appears that Article 550 does not address requirements for AFCi protection in Mobile and Manufactured home. Does this mean that there are no requirements for AFCI protection or does it mean that since Article 550 contains no modifications to Article 210.12, all of Article 210.12 applies to Mobile and
