My company is doing a job that has 29 tanning beds. Some of these tanning beds pull as much as 80 amps. I know, big huh. So what Im looking to do is find a service disconnect that is low profile. I had a Pin & Sleeve recepticle and plug shipped for an example, but I had no idea how BIG it would be. So I dont think that I can use it. Now I really dont want to install a actual diconnect for this application, whatever Im going to use needs to be recessed and small. So I ask for some of your ideas. Thanks....................Oh yea, the beds area 3 phase 208

I don't quite understand exactly what you're after, but be sure to check out 230.66. Whatever you choose is required to be listed as service equipment.

Look into an IEC 309 style pin and sleeve. IEC 309 is a European pin and sleeve disconnect, you'll want a 100 amp device. whats neat is its interchangeable between manufacturers, some even use the same part number. These are plastic devices, much nicer than the metal ones you may of seen from Crouse Hinds or similar

Chris it seems all you want is a disconnecting means....not a service disconnect.

Any receptacle and plug combination that is rated 80 amps, 208, 3 phase is going to be large. You will not find a 'low profile' version.

As far as 'not wanting to install an actual disconnect' that is likely not an option if these beds are cord connected.

The NEC does not normally allow hardwiring cord into a switch, most cord applications must be equipped with a plug.

You would do well to read Article 400 before you make any decisions. :)
