How can I print one post from a thread?

Go to "Thread Tools" at the top of the thread.

Choose "Show Printable Version"

Use you mouse to highlight what you want to print, choose "Print Selection" and your good to go.

I use thread tools to show printable version, then cut and paste into Word, and then print.

Assuming you have Internet Explorer right click the high lighted area choose "print" then when the print menu pops up you should see a check box for "Print selection"

Chris once you have selected the area go to Menu at the very top and hit File then Print. When the dialogue box opens choose selection. It should print what you selected. That is using Firefox but will probably work with any browser.

FWIW the "Print Selection" check box is a major ink saver if you only need small parts of graphics filled pages.

How can I print one post from a thread?

I don't think I've ever done it using Thread Tools. I just click the post number in the upper right corner of that post. That opens the single post in a new browser window, which you can then print.

You can also hit the QUOTE button, and copy the text from there into a word processing package. You will have to delete the leading and concluding

symbols.

Right-click on post number and choose Print Target in pop-up menu. Click Print or hit Enter key when Print dialog appears.

That doesn't work with all browsers-- I tried with firefox- no good.

Problems at work are the battles and it feels like you never win you just get past one battle to the next

easier than that would be instead of pressing control C or V just right click after you've highlighted it and select copy, then open your notepad and right click again and select paste!
