I've had these two breakers ordered for 2 months now, and CH still shows them on Back Order with NO production date. I need two for a customer, any ideas?

AFAIK, no one is making 2-pole independent trip AFCI breakers. Nor is anyone planning to.

This is a shared neutral circuit, so whats the fix? I got it on regular breakers currently waiting on a solution....bedroom circuits 05' house

I'd just combine the circuits. Bedrooms are generally lightly loaded.

However, if they use window AC units then you might have a problem with that approach.

Double Tap the breaker? Oh my goodness, what will the inspector think?:D

but then the home inspector will write a long report about there being splices in the panel

Find out if the '05 was adopted when the house was built.

Cheese And Crackers.

Cheese And Crackers.

Just split the circuit already. Run a new line. Is it April 1 already???

Or better yet... once upon a time ...

If there was just some magical device that would join two different wires together, safely, with say some sort of technicolor appearance. And was a safe insulator to say .... mmmmm... 600 volts. That could be used to meet this three wire circuit into a safe 2 wire circuit. hmmmm. I'M just not smart enough to get it I guess. Maybe someone in the future can figure this one out. Yup, You are just going to have to wait on that 2 pole AFIT breaker. I'm sure there will be a demand some day in the near future large enough to make that factory produce just this item for you so that the entire US of A will not burn to the ground from those pesky double tapped and or arc faulting circuits.

If only there was such a device....

Yeah, old 3-wire circuits cause us a lot of headaches. We do a lot of remodeling work in older apartments of masonry construction so pulling a new circuit is often a real pain, but that's what we end up doing if combining the circuit isn't feasible.

I was shocked, my supplier called today and said my breaker came in...It is currently in "will call" as Im waiting on the second one, which on its way.......but we thought these things were out of production, but waala...

It's a much bigger footprint than a regular BR breaker, longer, but IS a two pole "BR" AFCI, and has a a NEW model number. Im thinking the number started with "BRL______?"
