need to hook up SMA Tripower 3 phase inverter to a "corner grounded delta 480V"

Never saw that before , but L1-L2-L3 all have 480V between them. L1 to Gnd = 480V, L2 to Gnd = 0 (zero) V, L3 to Gnd = 480V

Has anybody successfully been able to hook up any solar inverter to this? maybe the SMA TriPower in particular?

I would think that if you can do it you would need a 1:1 delta-wye transformer.

Yup, you will need an isolation XFMR. I have not heard of a 3 phase inverter than can connect to a corner grounded supply.
