Does your company have a preferred instructional service or vendor they prefer?

IECA, or other statewide non-profit trade associations would be a good start.

North Carolina doesn't have a journeyman license. What exam are you sitting for?

Limited, Intermediate or Unlimited Electrical Contractor license. Most people recommend going straight for the Unlimited. Its only 15-20 extra questions. I took the limited. Studied for 4-5 days straight 8 hour days over a Thanksgiving break a few years ago and got an 85%.

Take the Jade Learning course offered in Raleigh about 4 weeks out. Study a few hours a week 5-10. Then cram like crazy 3-4 days ahead of time. You'll pass the first time.

The City of Raleigh has a journeyman license that you can take. Much much easier. But it's basically worthless. You can act as the responsible person onsite in Raleigh. But no one else recognises as any type of credential. Just get the DeWalt test book for that one. I got a 96% and studied a third as much.

I'm sitting for my journey man license actually in Oklahoma in February and I wanted to know if there was a CEU available in Raleigh that can help refresh my weak spots in the exam.

Gotcha!! Good luck with the test. I would highly recommend Jade Learning. They offer a Friday, Saturday class that is excellent. It includes all their test prep and online group Q and A's with the instructors after the class. I probably would not have passed if I did not take their class.
