Hey guys helper got me good today. He broke off a 6/32 screw in mudring installing a receptacle. Well I told him to drill it out. He managed to drill out the screw as well as putting in a new hole next to the original one. I would like to keep the mudring in the wall but install the recept. Im thinking selftapping screw through the mud ring. Any better suggestions? Thanks

Kinda doubt it since it runs into the original hole. He used a small panhead self tapper to drill it out. Will try it. Gorilla glue for what? To glue my helper to the van seat so that he cant mess up again?

I remember that happened to someone working for me.
He asked what to do and I said "tap it".
So he starts hitting the box with his Kleins.

If he drilled it out with a self tapper, the obvious choice would be to use the self tapper to install the device.

Maybe I don't understand. Is this a trick question.

And....Glue????:confused::confused::rolleyes: Come on!

Nest time, try taking it out from the back side.

Use one of these:

A Tinnerman nut. Easily found at the big box or local hardware store fastener isle. They simply push on over the hole made and allow a 6-32 or 8-32 screw to grip onto the mudring. You buy them in either screw size.

A simple $1 fix..

Good Luck!:D
