The past two years the neighbor's Christmas lights have been causing LED lights associated with three switches to flicker. We only observed this flickering when the neighbor's Christmas lights are on (Thanksgiving through the New Year) and they are the Griswolds.
Two of the circuits are dimmable CREE LEDs and the dimmers are listed on CREE's website as recommended for the bulbs in question. The 3rd light circuit has a LED-rated dimmer and dimmable LED bulbs. The three switches are on two different breakers.
Last year, the power company tested the service, including installing a recording device for a couple weeks, and they concluded that the voltage variation was within limits.
Tested voltage at one of the light circuits. Voltage input at the switch is normal with little variation across hot/ground and hot/neutral (120+/-1V). The switch hot/ground output consistently tests between 118-122V with vary little voltage fluctuation (+/-0.1V). This includes when the lights are flickering. The nominal output voltage (hot to light/ground) varies depending on the dimmer set point and normal variation is similar to the hot/ground variation of (+/-0.1V). However, when the lights are flickering the output voltage (hot to light/ground) is quickly fluctuating +/- 4-5V. The flickering coincides with the neighbor's Christmas lights doing their dramatic on/off sequences (they are set to music). What could be causing this? What do I test next?
Thanks!
