NEMA 4X Enclosure for PV System Batteries

Hello everyone,

I am working on a project where a small photovoltaic system is going to be installed for a couple of monument luminaires. The Photovoltaic batteries and acccessories need to be enclosed in a rated enclosure since they themselves are not rated. Since this is going to house batteries would this enclosure have to be NEMA 4X or would a 3R be sufficient?

I would likely use separate enclosures for the batteries and the other components.

The battery enclosures need to be vented so I would be thinking 3R for the batts.
