The information I have indicates that the contractors may have heard that it is no longer allowed by the Code. Sorry I don't have more to go on. It may be just one of those rumors that start from an unidentifiable source and no validity.

That would have to be a rumor. I imagine if it was outlawed it would have to be state by state or maybe municipality by municipality. I'm not to sure the companies that are in the neon business, would take a whole lot of this with out a fight.

I will admit that neon does have a basic problem. Some of people installing it, don't know what their doing.
