I found some 24 volt devices disconnected in the field where the person twisted the neutral and the egc wires together and put a wire nut on them and wire nut on the power conductor. This 24v wiring is controlled by automation system or plc .
I spoke to the maintenance guy and told him these two wires should not be connected together out in the field only in a service panel. His reply was it is only 24 volts and can't be the cause of his controllers and plc problems.
After talking to him about this i called my chief and he is to look into it farther.
Did i tell the maintenance guy the right information ?
