Neutral conductor different material than ungrounded conductors

I could have sworn, I read in a thread here yesterday while researching, that the neutral had to be the same type makeup as the ungrounded conductors in a single raceway feeder/service.

Maybe I have lost it again, lol. Found it in the Canada Code for both ways, single raceway or parallel.
Don't think they got the idea on their own?

I have the parallel Article, not a problem.

But I am looking for anything that will not allow the use of an aluminum neutral conductor with copper conductors, in a single raceway.

Seems odd for sure as the characteristics are so different, but will code allow the installation?

Reference numbers only please,

Thanks for your time.

NEC is a permissive Code so you won't have a number permitting such an install, only references when it's not permitted.
As noted, if you were paralleling conductors of the same phase or grounded conductors in parallel you would violate 310.4. Other than that, no violation, no reference.
