NEUTRAL CONNECTION ONE PER HOLE

It was part of the UL listing of the panelboards long before 2002. They only added wording into the NEC because no really knew about it.

Way back when cable with ground wire was first introduced we always put the ground and neutral in the same hole.

I still find this all the time. To be honest, it makes tracing wiring in a panel a lot easier.

What does that mean?
Probably on another thread, but they referred to a double-row of neutral bars-- one in front that was getting used, the one in back ignored. Making it more fun to add another connection.

I was referring to the comment about the neutral and ground in the same hole-- but using the 2 rows of neutral bars would maintain the 1-wire-per-hole, but keep the neutral and ground close together. Not complying with code...
