if neutral point at transformer star point is connected to earth, why won't current go from source to load to neutral then to earth instead of back to source in unbalance system.
The answer to you question is that electricity is not looking to go to the earth but instead return back to the source which would be the neutral point of the Wye transformer.
I would like to add to Raiders 1's post that under normal conditions there is no path for current to use the earth to return to it's source.
If there is a ground fault ( insulation failure ) in the load or between the load & the transformer, then the earth can become a path for fault current.
