Neutral feeder calculation

Have a 200amp subpanel that will be powered from a main 400amp 120/208v 3ph panel.
The new sub panel will only have 1200va of 120v lighting on the panel and the rest of the panel will all be supplying lighting at 208v.
I was reading 220.22 and was concerned about providing such a small conductor for balanced neutral.
Was thinking of keeping the neutral at least the same size as the required equipment ground conductor.
Can you help confirm required or recommended neutral feed for this application?

Thanks in advance for feedback
Jim

Re: Neutral feeder calculation

In my opinion, take into consideration possible voltage drop and take into consideration possible future loads. The grounded neutral conductor doesn't serve the same purpose as a service grounded neutral in this case, but sizing it per the required EGC is not a bad idea.

Re: Neutral feeder calculation

If this is a new sub panel, bet you have spares, what about future loads?
