Good morning all.
First off I would like to thank all of you for or input in the past.
What a great resource to have at your finger tips.
Again much appreciated !
The question.
Portable generator back-feeding the main panel of a house. (And I'm guessing here as I haven't hooked a permanently installed generator with transfer switch,
but may be the same (separate neutral, ground)
Generators have phase/ phase/ neutral/ ground.
At the point of the main panel neutral/ground..... of existing panel.....
Where does that put the two separate (neutral/ground) connections from the generator at the panel.
If to the same neutral/ground bar (at the panel) does not, could not the return run back through the generator ground (chassis) ????
Just wondering.
Thank you.
