The only need this range has for a neutral, is it's electronic clock and control board. Do I really need to run a neutral that is the same size as the ungrounded conductors? This will be for a commercial kitchen.

Thanks all...

While 210.19(A)(4) iinitially appears to let one do so, follow up under 210.20(B) and subsequently 240.4 infers a reduced neutral would not be protected against overcurrent. So we are back to basically what e57 said, though 210.19(A)(3) Exception 2 permits reduction of the neutral wire for certain household ranges and cooking appliances to not less than 70% or 1/0.
