New Article #682

I would like an opinion on Article 682 relative to Marinas (Art.#555)

It is my opinion that 682 does not pertain to Marinas.
It states in the scope that the article was written to cover wiring in and around water "not covered by other articles".
Marinas are covered by Atricle 555 and has no reference to 682.

What say you?

I agree with you. Seems fairly clear to me. Is someone trying to make you apply 682 to a marina?

I have been doing Marina work for many years and I recently came across a project in northern Michigan that was engineered to the full extent of Article 682.
This took us by surprise because this Article had never been referenced in the past.
Then it dawned on me that the 05 code was just adopted in September.
In reading the Article, it became apparent to me that 682 did not apply to Marinas.
That is what prompted me to search out opinions of others.
Most are in agreement with me.
Now the challenge is how to diplomatically approach the engineer on this particular project.
There are three other projects in this same County that could be affected by this interpretation.
