I always get a kick when I'm getting something at HD and overhear one of the guys working in the department advising someone to use PVC 'cause' they don't have to know how to bend it. Same thing going on here except for the interpretive changes in direction. It's a shame that homeowners take so-much advice from these "experts" (NOT!) without any idea if they really know what they're talking about.

But I recollect that when I first entered my apprenticeship, guys who entered fresh from their stint in the service had the "jargon" down, which led me to erroneously believe they knew what they were doing. One guy in particular ended up knicknamed "angle iron".

Well, they are in the conduit. :roll: I sure hope they're not attempting to use the EMT as the EGC.

They do sell 1/2" and 3/4" EMT elbows for such DIY work.

well, that is what the aluminum duct tape is for... maintaining the bond....
regular duct tape just won't do, unless of course you tape a bare #12
on the outside of the conduit between the pipes.... that will get it in a pinch.
