Well, it doesn't get any further north than New England. Have you looked at a map lately? ;)


There are two of the biggest casinos in the world located in southeastern Connecticut. I don't gamble but there are tons of good restaurants there and that might be a good meeting place. At the moment I'm considering either Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun as a potential meeting place. Plus, the hotels are right there in case anyone from out of the area (or in the area) wants to make a weekend out of it.

We also like the steaks and use it for chili, spaghetti, etc. We first ate it at Ted's Montana Grill and have been hooked ever since.

We also like deer, but it tastes gamier than the bison and doesn't quite rate as healthy. Elk is supposed to be even healthier than the bison. I thought elk was a deer as well, but I guess the whitetails around here are eating too much peanut butter under the deer stands (not mine, of course).

I have heard goat meat is close health-wise as well but haven't tried it.

It closes every fall, I have made a couple of trips down there.

But Pete's idea makes more sense, 2 hour limit at the Nordic and when you leave there is no place else to go, your in the middle of nowhere.

North end of Boston? I want to steer very clear of Boston...if you're not from Boston trying to find your way around can be maddening, to say the least. The casinos are located right off 95 and are well known everywhere.
 
As much as I like Boston I agree with Pete, tough for strangers to navigate and parking is tough. Plus you really have to hope your vehicle is still in tact.

Right now it's down to one or the other. It's a toss up as far as I'm concerned as they both have world class places to eat.

So can we count on you being there Mr. Cow?

I'm all for the casinos as a location but let me throw this out.....

A freind of mine is throwing a concert at his house. It is actually in the parking lot next to his house. It is pretty much and all day thing and includes some food and beer. 15 bucks gets you in. Might be a good casual thing to just hang out and shoot the ****. It is in Worcester Ma.
